HOW TO INCORPORATE ROSEWATER INTO YOUR BEAUTY REGIMEN
If you’re anything like me, then you want to keep your beauty routine as simple as possible. Heritage Store is one of the most simple, fuss-free beauty brands I have ever tried. I have been using them for years and started posting about my love for the company on Instagram back in 2016. Established in 1969, Heritage Store has been combining pure ingredients with global healing traditions to create timeless and effective products that can be used head to toe.
Heritage Store sells several products that contain rosewater. However, I keep their Rosewater & Glycerin Spray, Rosewater, and Rosewater Facial Toner in my rotation. Each of these products is all-natural and cruelty-free. By now you’re probably thinking, “Chelsea, why do you need 3 rosewater mists?” Hear me out. In my routine, they all serve a different purpose. Let me break it down for you.
ROSEWATER & GLYCERIN SPRAY
In most cases, when we see or hear the ingredient rosewater, we think about skincare. Heritage Store’s Rosewater & Glycerin has been an OG staple in my hair care routine. This product contains just 3 ingredients: pure rose oil, vegetable glycerin, and Vor-Mag Water (water that has been vortexed and magnetized to raise the energy to a higher vibration that Heritage Store believes to be more beneficial.) Glycerin is a humectant that helps to attract and lock-in moisture while keeping your hair soft.
Lightly mist your hair, especially the ends, with the Rosewater & Glycerin Spray to add moisture and shine. You can also use it to massage and help moisturize dry scalp. If you are physically active like me, I highly suggest adding this product to your gym bag. I use it to help remove dirt residue from my scalp post-workout when I’m on the go. Of course, I wash my hair when I get home, but don’t like the thought of walking around or running errands post-workout with residue sitting on my scalp.
ROSEWATER
I do not wear synthetic parfums. I use Heritage Store Rosewater in place of commercial fragrances. This product only contains two ingredients, rose hydroessential oil and water. I prefer to add Heritage Store Rosewater to my bath water, mist my body after I get out of the shower before applying lotion, or apply it prior to my facial oil to help with product absorption. You can also use it as a setting spray after applying makeup. The feminine, floral scent of rose really helps to boost my mood.
ROSEWATER FACIAL TONER
Heritage Store Rosewater Facial Toner is an oil-free product that is great for my sensitive skin. I am prone to redness and dark spots, and this toner really helps to calm my skin. After cleansing my face, and before applying my moisturizer, I mist my face with Heritage Store Rosewater Facial Toner. This helps to remove any remaining residue, combat dryness, and diminish the appearance of fine lines or cleansing pores. I tone my skin in the morning before I apply my sunscreen, and at night before applying any serums.
Heritage Store products can be found at natural health food stores (Whole Foods Market, Sprouts, Lucky’s, Fresh Thyme, Natural Grocers, local co-ops), as well as Target, Ulta and Urban Outfitters.
