Artisan Love Box is a monthly subscription service that provides handcrafted self-care products made by women-owned small businesses. Each box contains 6 products, 3 are full-sized. According to the Artisan Love Box website, products are free from animal cruelty, parabens, sulfates, petrolatum, formaldehyde, mineral oil, synthetic dyes and fragrances. Below is a glimpse of the September 2016 Box.

The Addictive Apothecary Body Balm and Ny’Ala Skincare products were my favorite by far due to both their performance and clean ingredients. I opted not to try The Brow Lady Eyebrow Scrub N Grow because it contains butylated hydroxyanisole (BHT). BHT is a preservative found in many self-care and food products that prevents oils from oxidizing and becoming rancid. I choose to avoid it.

Overall, Artisan Love Box is a solid option for those who want to clean up their beauty routine, but don’t know where to start.
